"Russia to station missiles near Poland" (Reuters)
[AA] Needless to say, this event will both test the president's resolve to lead a less interventionist American foreign policy, and strain his political capital within America and all over the world - whatever decision he takes. The vagueness of his campaign propositions was - electorally - an optimum situation. Now Obama cannot avoid upsetting those who'd like a more sheepish stance, as well as the ones who'd prefer a more muscled reaction. And the worst case scenario is making Russia the villain of the situation. Obama cannot not act. Prepare for cold war.
